Lotions are made of oil and an emulsifier. The emulsifier is usually a lab-manufactured chemical. Most are ethylated which can expose you to carcinogens and mutagens. Most importantly lotion moisturizers are upwards of 65% water which not only must be preserved to keep out mold and bacterial it DISSIPATES when putting on to your skin. So not only are you covering your skin in chemicals, fragrances, and preservatives. More than half of what you apply disappears leaving dry skin.
